Hundreds of protesters took to Yerevan's streets on Sunday to protest against the government's proposed changes to the Armenian constitution. The protest took place at the same time as a referendum on the proposed reforms. Demonstrators marched through the streets calling for the resignation of the Armenian government.

Critics of the referendum oppose the reforms because Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan wants to use the public vote to increase the presidential term from five to seven years. That would see his current term in office extended by two years.
