10,000 dancers attempt world record in hand-twirling extravaganza

Over 10,000 people took part in a folk dance in an attempt to enter the Guinness Book of World Records in Kullu, North India on Monday. The folk dancers were dressed in traditional clothing and performed a dance called Kullu Nati. The dance, which lasted for one hour, would be the first to enter the category of folk dance, said the organizers. The dance was part of the Kullu Dussehra festival celebrations in Himachal Pradesh state in northern India.
