Russian jets take off and land in anti-terror op in Syria

Footage shows Sukhoi Su-24M and Su-34 jets landing and taking off at Hmeymim Air Base near Latakia, Saturday. The Russian Air Force hit eight self-proclaimed Islamic State targets in and around Jisr al-Shugur over the past 24 hours, the country's Defense Ministry announced in a series of statements on Sunday. Using guided aviation bombs, Russian Air Force jets destroyed four ISIS command posts in addition to several munitions depots. The Defense Ministry announced Sunday that the Russian Air Force had carried out a total of 20 sorties over the past 24 hours, hitting 10 ISIS targets. Sukhoi Su-24M and Su-34 bombers took part in the Jisr al-Shughur sorties while armored Sukhoi Su-25 ground-support fighter jets were involved elsewhere.
