A mourning ceremony for the Iranian victims of last month's stampede in Mina, Saudi Arabia, was held in Tehran on Sunday. A large crowd of people attended the funeral ceremonies, including high-level Iranian clerics and officials. The stampede occurred after two large masses of Hajj pilgrims collided at a crossroads in Mina, a few kilometers east of the holy city of Mecca, on their way to Jamarat. The resulting crush killed over 1,200 pilgrims. Iran has blamed Saudi Arabia authorities' incompetence in ensuring safety at the rituals for being the cause of the deadly incident.
