Five people were arrested after clashes broke out between rival groups of protesters in central London ahead of the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday. Some 2,000 people gathered outside the British prime minister's Downing Street office Wednesday afternoon to protest Netanyahu's visit. A counter-demo of around 500 people rallied in support of Netanyahu. The groups clashed before police divided the opposing protesters. The anti-Netanyahu protest, organized by the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign, comes after over 107,000 people signed a petition demanding that Netanyahu be arrested for war crimes during his visit to the UK.
