American citizen Robert Tilley paid $14,619 to take a ride in a MiG-29 fighter jet, soaring over the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod on Monday. The thrill seeker reportedly won a large sum of money and decided to fulfill a childhood dream. Tilly took the MiG ride from the Sokol aircraft-building plant, one of the sites in Russia that provides the unique opportunity for civilians to fly in a fighter jet. The Sokol Plant is famed for producing legendary aircraft like the MiG-31 and its predecessor, the MiG-25.
