Syrian toddler Aylan Kurdi remembered with sand sculpture on Indian beach

Indian sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a sculpture of the young Syrian child Aylan Kurdi on Puri beach on Friday. Aylan Kurdi drowned on a journey across the Mediterranean and washed up on the Turkish shore on Wednesday, prompting huge international outcry over the growing global migration and refugee crisis. Inscribed beneath the sand sculpture are the words: “Humanity washed ashore, Shame Shame Shame...”
