Smoke rose over Sanaa as Saudi warplanes pounded the Houthi-held Yemeni capital on Sunday. This is the third day of almost continuous attacks by the Saudi-led coalition on the northern city. On Saturday, they reportedly struck an orphanage, killing two children. The Saudi-led coalition, which aims to restore Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi to the presidency, vowed to carry out its “heaviest” air attacks to date in response to the deaths of dozens of United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabian and Bahranian soldiers last week. In Yemen's Marib province alone, 22 UAE soldiers were reportedly killed by militia loyal to deposed leader Ali Abdullah Saleh on Friday.
