Over two thousand steel workers went on strike in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday. They were demanding contract settlements. The demo kicked off outside the headquarters of the United Steelworkers (USW) union. The workers then proceeded to march to the Allegheny Technologies, ArcelorMittal, and US Steel headquarters. The strike came after over 2,200 workers at the ArcelorMittal and US steel manufacturing corporations were locked out of their jobs starting on September 1 when their contracts expired.
