Some 50 students from the state of Wisconsin along with their supporters marched to the house of Secretary of State John Kerry to urge him to stop the Alberta Clipper tar sands oil pipeline expansion. Around 20 activists chained themselves together outside Kerry's house. Protesters held a sit-in protest for four hours after which police carried out arrests. Activists of the Midwest Unrest group arrived from Wisconsin to draw attention to the tar sands project.
