Russian border guards destroyed 10 tons of contraband foreign cheese outside Belgorod, South of Russia, on Thursday, after Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree authorizing the destruction of food imports banned under the current embargo, which was renewed on August 6. The cheese was seized at the Ukrainian border at the end of July, the origin of the product is so far undetermined. The move comes as the Russian Agricultural Ministry is reportedly working on a draft bill, which will ban certain food imports from seven more countries, including Norway, Ukraine and Georgia.
