Millions of commuters in London faced travel chaos as another round of tube strikes hit the city on Wednesday. The strikes relate to a pay dispute between the unions and London Underground. The 24-hour strike began on Wednesday evening, with all trains shut down by 20:30 GMT, and will run until Thursday night. The strike was called by four unions – RMT, ASLEF, TSSA and Unite – after they failed to reach an agreement with the London Underground over pay and roster conditions for the new 24-hour tube services planned to start on weekends in September.
