France celebrates Bastille Day with military parade
A military parade was held in the center of the French capital to celebrate Bastille Day. The event was hold on to pay tribute to the elite armed units neutralizing Islamists who killed 17 people in Paris in January. French President Francois Hollande attended celebrations along with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto and Mexican First Lady Angelica Rivera. French forces working to prevent attacks by extremists joined the traditional military parade for the first time, as the leadership tries to show its muscle against extremists abroad and at home.
