A sports festival for people with physical disabilities kicked off in the Russian city of Voronezh on Tuesday, with amazing displays of strength and agility. The event, arranged by an organization for veterans with debilitating injuries (OOOIVA), saw paraplegics doing bench presses, weight lifting, acrobatics and even playing table tennis. Many OOOIVA members were injured during the Soviet–Afghan War between 1979 and 1989. The group has reportedly raised money for those severely injured in the Ukrainian crisis.
