Rescue chopper battles massive Siberian wildfire

Russian Ministry of Emergencies(EMERCOM) aircraft battled a wildfire in the Irkutsk Region, Eastern Siberia on Friday. The fire-fighting operation, which involved a Mi-8 helicopter and 150 people from the Irkutsk fire department, comes as adverse weather conditions led to the declaration of a state of emergency in the region. The Mi-8 helicopter can drop approximately five tons of water at a time. Police are still searching for those responsible for causing the blaze.
