Russian rescuers carry out massive drills outside Moscow

Russia's Emergency Ministry staged a massive rehearsal of dealing with a 9.0 earthquake scenario outside Moscow, Wednesday. The drills included fallen buildings, chemical spills, a derailed train and a downed passenger plane. Some 1,200 rescuers were deployed, while some 200 units of equipment were employed to battle the fires, dangerous chemicals as well as to rescue trapped people. Such aircrafts as Il-76, Be-200 amphibious planes and Mi-8 and Ka-32A helicopters were used.
