A Russo-American convoy arrived in Orlando on Sunday, as part of a mass road trip to Washington DC, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Elbe day, a crucial moment during World War II when Russian and American forces came together in 1945. Dozens of people welcomed the cars and trucks, with a group of veterans who fought in World War II among them. The convoy, organized by the Russian-American Center of Florida, will later move to Oregon, carrying on throughout the country until they reach the US capital on April 24, one day before Elbe day.
