Clashes erupted between anarchists and riot police in Exarcheia, Athens on Thursday, following a demonstration that gathered 4,000 workers from a Canadian-run gold mine in northern Greece. The rally was called over fears of job losses, after the Greek government revoked the company's license to develop the mine. The Greek government reportedly revoked the Vancouver-based Eldorado Gold Corp’s license for the project in Skouries for environmental reasons.
