One spectator was killed and several others left injured when a Nissan GT-R race car flipped off the track, sweeping away a 12 foot fence, before landing in the crowd during Saturday’s VLN1 endurance race at the iconic Nurburgring Race Track, western Germany. The British driver of the Nissan GT-R, Jann Mardenborough, survived the crash without sustaining serious injuries. He is expected to race the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo at the 24 hours Le Mans race, the world's oldest active sports car race, later this year.
