A convoy of US Army military vehicles, mostly IAV Stryker armored personnel carriers (APCs), left a military base in Tapa on Saturday. The convoy embarked on a 1,770 km (1,100 miles) tour that will take in six European countries (Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, the Czech Republic and Germany), with the final destination being Vilseck in Germany. Dubbed the "Dragoon Ride" after the unit’s name (the Dragoons), it’s aimed at demonstrating strength and solidarity to US and NATO allies in Eastern Europe, according to US Army Europe spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Craig Childs. Earlier on Friday, 14 US F-16 Fighting Falcon arrived at the Amari airbase near Tallinn in Estonia to take part in air force exercises running till April 17.
