Up to 8,000 supporters of the Lega Nord (Northern League) and the Fratelli d’Italia (Brothers of Italy) took to the streets of Venice on Saturday to demonstrate against 'terrorism, taxes and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.' Demonstrators wore t-shirts reading 'Renzi go home' and waved anti-immigrant banners. The protesters marched over the numerous bridges that cross Venice’s iconic canals, with counter-demonstrators kept away from the march by police.
