Scuffles broke out between residents of Yuen Long and activists protesting against 'parallel traders' in Hong Kong on Sunday. At least 30 people were arrested, with police using batons and pepper spray to disperse crowds.

The protest was organized by the 'Civic Passion' and 'Frontline Democracy,' groups. The demonstrators rallied against Chinese traders from the mainland who purchase goods in Hong Kong to re-sell at a profit in mainland China, saying the process has triggered distortions in Hong Kong's economy.
