Violence erupts before Athens football match

Clashes broke out before the match between Olympiakos and Panathinaikos on Sunday in Athens. The violence started when Panathinaikos supporters threw a torrent of flares and fireworks at Olympiakos' president Vagelis Marinakis as he attempted to walk onto the pitch. The fans then stormed the pitch, injuring a police officer.
