A lone topless FEMEN activist staged a protest in the cold outside the Davos World Economic Forum on Thursday. Despite low temperatures in the Swiss luxury ski resort, Marguerite, a French member of the group, tried to approach a security check point leading to the Congress Center where the meetings are taking place. Before she had even started chanting, security guarding the World Economic Forum, surrounded her, covered her with a towel and dragged her inside the check point away from the shocked public. The FEMEN activist shouted 'Give women a real change’, protesting against economic inequality, especially towards women. According to Marguerite capitalism divides people into rich and poor, and women more often become victims of that division. She said she wanted to highlight this point to help empower other women. It was the third year running that the group had protested at Davos, where politicians, business leaders and experts from around the world gather for talks and cocktail parties.
