People laid flowers, said prayers and lit candles in memory of the Charlie Hebdo shooting victims in central Paris. Twelve people, including two police officers, were killed and several more critically injured when armed gunmen opened fire at Charlie Hebdo magazine's HQ. The men, dressed in black commando outfits, entered the building and fired a number of rounds from Kalashnikov assault rifles. They fled in a stolen car following a shoot-out with police.
