Three trapped coal miners found dead in Siberia

Three of five miners still trapped in a coal mine in the Siberian Kemerovo region have been found dead. Rescuers are continuing to search for the two men still missing.

The accident at the Lenin mine happened on Friday during repair works. Seventeen miners were working below ground when the roof collapsed. Eleven managed to get out immediately, with only one suffering injuries.

On Sunday one of the miners was rescued after spending more than 50 hours underground. He is being treated by doctors.
