Thirst for brand beer grows In Russia and Ukraine

The international brands Carlsberg and Tuborg continued to grow by 6% and 24% respectively as a result of strong demand in Russia and Ukraine.

That is according to the companies financial results. Beer sales in the first half of 2007 increased by 17%. Eastern Europe and Asia experienced the greater growth.

The Russian beer market continued its significant growth contributed to by the mild winter and strong trend in beer consumption.
