NY police critical of state attorney general’s investigation of police brutality

New York’s attorney general has announced the creation of a special prosecution unit to investigate the state’s police departments in the wake of a spate of killings of unarmed people by officers, but both law enforcement agencies and district attorneys are unhappy about the plans. LA ordinance looks to crack down on homelessness

The city of Los Angeles is looking to reduce the “byproducts” of homelessness, such as mattresses and tents on the streets and in city parks, but the new ordinance is not doing much to help the homeless individuals themselves. RT’s Lindsay France speaks with activists in LA about the proposal.
