Red Cross scrutinized for building only 6 homes with $500 million in Haiti

An investigation has emerged showing that the American Red Cross wasted $500 million while attempting to rebuild Haiti following the devastating 2010 earthquake. It promised to build hundreds of permanent houses for those left homeless, but only built six. Anya Parampil takes a look at the investigation and how more than 100,000 Haitians remain homeless.

Big city, big need: NYC food bank ask for $16 million to combat growing need

New York City food banks that service hungry residents are reporting more shortages as the number of people using them has risen to 1.4 million over the past year. The Hunger Action Network of New York has asked for $16 million in order to handle this need. Alexey Yaroshevsky has more details and speaks with volunteers and social workers.
