SC shooting death of unarmed black man sparks protests, questions

Protests have been growing in the South Carolina town of North Charleston as information about the past history of Michael Slager, the police officer charged with murder for killing an unarmed black man, comes to light. Dashcam footage of the events before the shooting has also been released. Manuel Rapalo reports from the scene.

Clashes between students, police in Montreal over austerity cuts to universities

Unrest is on the rise in Montreal as students and protestors have hit the streets, blocking access to classes and protesting the Canadian government’s austerity measures. Police have been mobilized against protestors, arresting students and causing more tension. Ben Swann talks to investigative journalist Shawn Carrie, who has been chronicling the unrest.
