The Obama administration is seeking Congressional authorization to use military force against the Islamic State anywhere in the world while also having “flexibility” on the deployment of ground troops. While the president has touted his record in ending the Iraq War and limiting military force, figures from both sides of the aisle are crying foul over the new proposal. RT’s Ameera David explains.

An increasing number of prisoners are being set free after they were found to have been wrongly convicted, according to a new report from the University of Michigan that is raising eyebrows. Breaking down the 125 exonerations in 2014, the study’s authors found that the defendants in 47 cases had originally pleaded guilty despite being innocent, and in 58 instances, no crime had actually been committed.
