Thousands turned out in cities across the world on Wednesday night to commemorate the 12 slain journalists who were gunned down in Paris by masked men reportedly upset with magazine Charlie Hebdo’s depiction of Islamic religious figures. Journalists, activists and ordinary citizens are turning out to support the freedom of expression and mourn for the lost. RT’s Polly Boiko is in Paris with the latest on the terrorist attack and Manila Chan reports from Washington.

An improvised explosive device was detonated Wednesday at the Colorado Springs chapter of the NAACP. No one was hurt in the attack, but the FBI is investigating to find the culprits.
