Many Ferguson and Michael Brown supporters across the country are angry with the media’s focus on violence and destruction instead of the larger racial and policing issues behind many of the protests. RT’s Manuel Rapalo is in Ferguson, Mo. to examine some of the lesser covered issues.
The outrage being expressed in Ferguson, Mo. is a metaphor for the racial injustice that exists across the US, according to Rev. Jesse Jackson. Speaking to RT’s Ben Swann, the civil rights activist said juries are frequently “corrupted” by the culture of mistreatment towards to racial minorities, and too often set killers free.
