An unmanned Antares rocket exploded six seconds after lifting off from a private Launchpad in Wallops Island, VA on Tuesday evening. Contracted by NASA to carry approximately two tons of supplies for the International Space Station as well as “classified crypto equipment,” the rocket’s initial launch was scheduled for Monday, but was scrubbed at the last minute. RT’s Ameera David speaks to astronaut Leory Chiao, who explains what the space agency must now do going forward.

The FBI reportedly raided the home of a “second Snowden” who was leaking classified national security documents to journalists Jeremy Scahill and Ryan Devereaux. Suspicions first emerged in August that a second whistleblower withing government agencies was releasing secret information, but the FBI action is the first real confirmation. RT’s Alexey Yaroshevsky has more details.
