Demonstrators across America took to the streets on Wednesday, taking part in a national day of protest against police brutality. Citing multiple examples of law enforcement using excessive force and racial profiling, organizers called for more stringent oversight and justice for the many victims that go unseen. Colorado Green Party candidate for governor Harry Hempy is fighting to make his voice heard over his mainstream Democratic and Republican rivals. Although vastly underfunded compared to his establishment counterparts, Hempy wants to show voters how the major political parties are not very different from each other, offering no real change.
