Google is in bed with the US State Department, and the seemingly laid back company is not as benign as it presents itself, claims Julian Assange. From coordinating with the Pentagon to spy agencies, WikiLeaks founder maintains that the tech giant maintains a startling close relationship with the government. RT’s Manila Chan learns more by speaking to Afshin Rattansi, host of RT’s Going Underground, who had an exclusive full-length interview with Assange.
Following Sunday’s record breaking environmental march in New York City, crowds turned out again on Monday to “Flood Wall Street” in protest of capitalism’s connection to global warming and environmental destruction. An unsanctioned demonstration not cleared with city authorities, the march has been so far largely peaceful despite small scuffles between police and demonstrators. RT’s Alexey Yaroshevsky is on the ground with the crowds calling for change.
