Google is profiting from videos of criminal activity by selling ads on YouTube, according a report by the Digital Citizens Alliance. Videos advertising illegally obtained credit card numbers are easily found on the world’s largest video sharing site, with paid ads for the very companies targeted by hackers and thieves to get that information appearing with the videos. The Digital Citizens Alliance believes this “means that Google is effectively in business with crooks.” RT’s Ameera David discusses the intricacies and ethics of the controversy with Hemanshu Nigam, founder of online security firm SSP Blue.
