RT WINS TWO GOLDS AND A BRONZE AT PROMAXBDA

MOSCOW, JUNE 9, 2017 —RT took home three medals at the 2017 international PromaxBDA Promotion, Marketing and Design Awards – one of the most prestigious awards competitions in the sphere of design, marketing and promotions. This year's competition featured entries from CNN, BBC, Fox, HBO, NBC, Discovery, Nickelodeon, and Disney.  

RT's Going Underground promo took gold in the category "News – Program Promotion" beating out Australian television station ABC. RT's promo for its special coverage of the 30-year anniversary of the disaster at Chernobyl, took home top honors in the category "News – Special Report" over Germany's ZDF and Australia's ABC.

In the "Public Service Announcement" category, RT's video clip "Never Giving Up" won bronze. The clip features members of Russia's Paralympic team as they compete in special wheelchair race held at the Formula 1 track in Sochi after being stripped of the opportunity to compete in the 2016 Olympic games in Rio.

RT has received multiple PromaxBDA awards in the past, taking home four alone in 2016. A series of promotional clips celebrating the ten-year anniversary of RT earned top honors, while RT’s promos for its coverage of the 70th Anniversary Session of the UN General Assembly and the 70th Anniversary celebration of victory in WWII both earned silver. RT's futuristic clip "RT 2035", featuring a retired Barack Obama and John Kerry, took home bronze.
