REDACTED TONIGHT, WATCHING THE HAWKS GO GLOBAL ON RT

MOSCOW, MAY 13, 2015 – Redacted Tonight, hosted by comedian Lee Camp, and Watching the Hawks, with Tyrel Ventura, Sean Stone and Tabetha Wallace, are now available on RT International and RT UK.

The two shows were originally launched on RT America, RT’s Washington, DC-based channel, but now can be enjoyed by RT’s audience around the world.

Redacted Tonight gives the news bulletins of the week a political satire treatment. Dubbed as “not your grandparents’ satire program,” by the show’s creators, Redacted Tonight provides “comedy news with a punch.”

“With reality now seeming like a Shakespearean comedy, perhaps only comedy can truly bring truth to the people, and news is much better consumed with a spoonful of laughter,” says Lee Camp, the show’s host. “This show is information and laughter slammed into a 30-minute, no-holds-barred, full-frontal in-your-face fun-sized comedic attack on those ransacking the world.”

A D.C. native, Lee Camp has performed biting political stand-up comedy around the world live and on TV and radio for 17 years. His “Moment of Clarity” videos online have attracted a following of millions. Scotland’s The Herald called Camp “Jon Stewart with teeth” and American news and culture online magazine Salon said that “there’s one comic who brings Russell-Brand-level wrath to the format of the “Daily Show…his name is Lee Camp and his show is RT America’s “Redacted Tonight.”’

Watching the Hawks is one of the newest programs on RT, a political talk show that seeks to rescue the stories buried in the hype and faux outrage permeating our society and get to the real issues. The hosts, Tyrel Ventura, Sean Stone and Tabetha Wallace along with their guests are your eyes and ears on the ground in the world of media, politics and pop culture.

“Watching the Hawks is for the person who feels disenfranchised from the political process, distrustful of a media that seems to be pandering to anyone but them, disillusioned by the financial markets - but hopeful for the future," said RT editor in chief Margarita Simonyan when the show premiered earlier this spring.

Tyrel Ventura brings a fun, self-effacing swagger to the proceedings while speaking from the heart without fear of speaking truth to power. Sean Stone delivers an insatiable curiosity coupled with an academic's approach to finding the basic truths behind every story with his background in history from Princeton University and Oxford. Tyrel and Sean also created the online alternative news show "Buzzsaw" with Co-Host, Tabetha Wallace who brings an honest, main street approach to the issues with a street smart millennial edge.

Watching The Hawks airs on RT and RT UK Tuesday through Friday at 11:30 GMT, and Redacted Tonight — on Saturdays at 11:30 GMT, with re-runs at 16:30 and 22:30 GMT.

RT is a global news network that broadcasts 24/7 in English, Arabic and Spanish from its studios in Moscow, Washington, DC, and London. It is available to 700 million viewers worldwide. RT is the most watched TV news network on YouTube with more than 2 billion views.
