2018 FIFA World Cup: Nizhny Novgorod Stadium (360 VIDEO)
A brand new venue, Nizhny Novgorod Stadium is located at the confluence of two of Russia’s main rivers, the Volga and the Oka. Not far from the stadium is the city’s Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, and the kremlin is also visible on the other side of the banks of the Oka.
The stadium’s colors are shades of blue and white, in keeping with the theme of wind and water.
The venue will host group stage games, a Round of 16 game and one of the quarter-final matches at Russia 2018. After the World, Cup, its capacity will be reduced by 10,000, and it will become the home stadium for local club Olympiets Nizhny Novgorod.
