Following President Medvedev’s call for the resignation of all officials responsible for Russia’s dismal performance at the Winter Games, Leonid Tyagachev has resigned.

Ok, but it's the sports minister we want, we also want a list of all the family members and friends that accompanied the 'management' team, with detailed cost breakdown.

I feel that by addressing the olympics in particular, Russia isn't getting to the real root of the problem: Russian sports and athletics are not nearly as well funded or well supported as during Soviet times. After a few decades, this lack of investment in its athletes has caught up to Russia now.
