Russia have once again won the annual President's Sambo Cup held in Moscow.

RT continues its look at martial arts around the world, this time at Sambo, a sport which was developed exclusively for Russia's military and police force in the 1930s but is now looking to be accepted by the Olympics.
There are countless martial arts around the world. With some countries priding themselves on a style developed exclusively in their homeland: in Japan it's karate, in China Kung Fu, in Russia – it's Sambo.

For many sports fans across the world Fedor Emelianenko is a living legend. He's the undefeated reigning mixed martial arts champion. But "The Last Emperor", as Emelianenko is known, says he's no superman.
Russian MMA fighter Aleksandr Emelianenko has grabbed another victory in the ring, getting the better of Miodrag "Pele" Petkovic of Serbia in the main event of the Pankration Tournament in Baku, Azerbaijan.
A three-day festival of Aikido has been held in the Russian capital, with master classes being given to hundreds of students.
Moscow was the place to be for martial arts lovers this weekend, as the city played host to a global battle. Russia vs. The Rest of the World in various sports was how it was billed.
