Plushenko had silver, not bronze in Canada, and it was a very, very close call. His program was far more complex, with quads, than the US skater who only had tripple jumps, but US skater presumably had a cleaner program. Why Plushenko was disqualified? No mystery there. After disappointing result in Canada he publically disagreed with his second place, saying that it was fixed and criticised ISU for diminishing the standards in the sport, which, according to him, has regressed since he left in 2006. This is ISU's way of getting back at him for sharp criticism. RT correspondents should do their homework!

Plushenko won a silver medal in Canada, for goodness sakes! He should have been first. However, I don't see how his body will take another four years, and I think the Russians should devote the resources to others.

Needs correction.... He gained silver at Vancouver, not bronze.
