Muscovites have been given a rare chance to see the likes of Alain Prost and David Coulthard in action. The Race of Stars saw the Formula One legends compete against the best Russian drivers in Arctic conditions.

Snow and ice under wheels is a perfect way to add some more drive to any race. Once a year the Russian capital hosts the so-called Race of Stars, a competition among Russia's top motorsports specialists.

And the 23rd event held at the Moscow Hippodrome on Thursday saw some world class superstars in town – Formula One greats Alain Prost and David Coulthard.

But to the joy of local fans, it was Russia’s Kirill Ladygin who showed the best ice racing skills on the day and became the first man in the history of the event to lift the Race of Stars Cup three times.
