Russian pole vault queen Yelena Isinbayeva has soared to glory once more, being named athlete of the year for the second time in a row.
The International Sports Press Association voted her number one – along with the world’s fastest man, Jamaica’s Usain Bolt.
About nine hundred sports journalists from 98 countries took part in the online poll.
Isinbayeva is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and holds the world record, breaking it 27 times in her career so far.
In 2005, she became the first woman to vault over the 5-meter-barrier indoors.
It is the third time she has been named the athlete of the year by the world's top sports journalists.
