Tough-guy Jeremy Yablonski, who has been disqualified till the end of the KHL season, has been appointed Vityaz Chekhov’s fitness coach.

According to Andrey Nazarov, the head coach of the Moscow Region team, the Canadian will develop a schedule of bar training and help the players improve their power struggle.

When asked whether he could imagine Yablonski as his coach, Vityaz forward Aleksandr Fedoseev replied: "I just don’t know. Perhaps only in the gym, because we already have one to work with us on the ice.”

Meanwhile, Sovetsky Sport newspaper claims Yablonski is to teach martial arts to the Vityaz boys as the 31-year-old is known for taking part in MMA and boxing bouts.

The Canadian got his ban after staging a brutal fight in November’s match against Traktor, which was just one of the many brawls he initiated since arriving in the KHL before the start of the 2011-12 season.

Vityaz is currently struggling in the KHL, sitting second from the bottom of the league table.
