I think KHL is much better and more interesting to watch than NHL. I dont live in Russia and I am not very interested in hockey, but I started reading about KHL, the teams, players and so on, and even watched few games. It is really very interesting!!! I dont have any interest in watching NHL, and I think NHL cannot be compared to KHL!!! VIVA KHL!!!

This is a silly story. What evidence is there to assume that the KHL will rival the NHL in any way? The greatest Russian hockey players play in the NHL. Until the KHL can grab the greatest players in the world, they'll be no where close to the NHL. But the NHL pays better and the weather and lifestyle is better in most NHL cities. 5 years? More like never.

Rival Americans in quality? More like rival Canadians in quality. And the world cup doesn't count, since NHL players rarely are able to take part in it.
