Jiri Hudler's new side, Dynamo Moscow, picked up their first win of the KHL season after coming out on the right end of a nine goal thriller against Barys Astana.

CSKA Moscow, sporting a new coach and a new-look line-up, have made a victorious start to their KHL season, earning a 3-2 overtime win against city rivals Dynamo.
World hockey champs Russia came in second at the Czech Hockey Games, going down to hosts Czech Republic on the final day of the competition.
The Continental Hockey League – KHL - which was founded in Russia just last year, has become available to a much wider TV audience.
