Ukraine have their sights set on South Africa as they seek to get one over Greece at home on Wednesday following a scoreless opening leg last weekend.

The Ukrainians hope for a repeat of 2006, when they qualified for the World Cup ahead of the Greeks with victory in Athens.

Oleksiy Mikhailchenko's charges will look for their chances in offense, and the home crowd in a brand new stadium in Donetsk is expected to help them do so.

The in-form Andriy Shevchenko, who scored six goals in the side's qualification campaign, knows what’s necessary.

“We hope that this time everything will be different. This is our home crowd, and we hope to win the game, but not play for 0-0,” he told journalists after a training session on Tuesday.
