World football’s governing body, FIFA, has issued its new Best International Squads ranking. The monthly updated list saw serious changes in July.
First of all, Brazil made a terrific leap to the top after finishing just fifth in June. The news is no surprise for football fans around the world, however, as the pentacampeoni have recently managed to grab the Confederations Cup, leaving Euro Champions Spain and World Champions Italy in their wake.
In another reshuffle within the top ten, Russia climbed from 9th to 6th, forcing England, Croatia and Argentina to move over. In the last month, team Russia have played only once. In a June 10 World Cup Qualifier, they reduced strong Finland to powder 3-0.
Elsewhere, former World and Euro champs France rushed back into the top ten.

1 Brazil 1672 pts (+4 places)
